Welcome to my Old-Time Radio Trading and Resources Page. I've been collecting radio shows for the last 21 years. While my youth came many years after the end of the Golden Days of Radio, like many others I have benefited from the foresight of many who came before. These people and organizations meticulously transcribed the material on 16" electrical transcriptions. The material has been saved for posterity as a result of their work and the work of many others who have copied those original discs to tape and now to digital formats.
To all of you, I salute you!

A Few Words About Myself
Most folks in the current world of Old-Time Radio collecting
know me as ‘Dave in Old Vic’. Yes I live
in Victoria, BC
Canada, but hail originally
from Orange County, California.
It was there, during my youth in the late 70’s, that I became intrigued by material
from radio’s golden age. My mentor was a
gentleman named Gary Freshour. Regrettably, I lost track of Gary many years ago. Gary
was the source of many of the reels that made up my early collection. HE taught me much about preserving and
archiving material – skills seemingly lost by many of today’s collectors who
seem intent on simply collecting as much as possible while neglecting the
preservation of the best content and quality (sound).
My Interests
Originally it was the music of the Big Band Era that
attracted me. Readers will note a
significant quantity of this material throughout the catalogue. Since that time, I gained a real appreciation
for all aspects of radio, both for the artistic and historical nature.
I am seeking 1st and low generation copies of
all material.
